Pulpitis can be acute or chronic. In the first case, the patient feels a sharp “shooting” pain, which intensifies when you press the tooth and at night. In the first two or three days, the pain returns to one point, after which the next phase of acute pulpitis occurs, when the pain intensifies and transfers to the temples, different parts of the jaw, cheekbones (this stage can last  up to two weeks, after which it becomes chronic).

Chronic pulpitis is a long inflammatory process that can last from 2-4 weeks to several years. The pain is dull, the affected area may bleed, and bad breath appears. In the advanced case, pulpitis can go into periodontitis.

The doctor chooses the treatment methods, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient’s body and the stage of the inflammatory process.

The main stages of treatment (depending on each individual case):

– anesthesia;

– elimination of the area affected by caries;

– pulp removal;

– measurement and processing of channels, tooth;

– installation of tooth fillings.

Do not put off a visit to the dentist to treat pulpitis on time.
